In short

  • Paid plans are monthly. Cancel any time, in Billing.
  • You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you paid for. Then your workspace returns to the free plan.
  • We don’t refund part of a month, except where the law requires it.
  • If we charged you by mistake, we refund it in full.
  • Consumers in the UK and the EU have 14 days to change their mind.

How paid plans work

Starter costs $19 a month and Scale costs $99 a month, in US dollars. You pay monthly in advance through Stripe, and your plan renews each month until you cancel. The Developer beta plan is free, so there is nothing to cancel or refund on it.

Cancelling

  1. In the console, open Billing.
  2. Choose Manage billing. It opens Stripe’s customer portal.
  3. Cancel your plan there.

The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then you keep your paid plan and its limits, and you won’t be charged again.

When the period ends, your workspace returns to the free Developer beta plan. Nothing you have stored is deleted, but the free plan’s limits apply from then on: for example, you can’t add calendars or resources beyond its limit.

Switching plans

You can move between Starter and Scale at any time in the same portal. A switch is prorated: Stripe works out the difference for the rest of the billing period. Moving up, you pay the difference; moving down, the unused part becomes a credit on your next invoices. The new plan’s limits apply within a minute.

Refunds

  • Unused time. When you cancel, you keep the paid plan to the end of the period, so we don’t refund the unused part of a month, except where the law requires us to.
  • Billing mistakes. If you were charged twice, charged after your cancellation took effect, or charged the wrong amount, we refund the mistaken charge in full.
  • If we end your plan. If we stop the service, or end your agreement without you having broken our terms, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, through Stripe. Your bank may take 5 to 10 working days to show it.

The 14-day right to cancel (UK and EU consumers)

If you buy a plan as a consumer, not for your business, and you live in the UK or the EU, the law gives you 14 days from the day you subscribe to cancel without giving a reason.

Your paid plan starts as soon as you pay, because you ask us to start it straight away. When you subscribe, you agree to that, and acknowledge that if you then cancel within the 14 days, you pay for the service you received up to that point. So if you cancel within 14 days, we refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for the days your paid plan was active. Once the service has been fully provided, the right to cancel ends.

To use this right, email [email protected] within the 14 days with your workspace name, saying clearly that you want to cancel. You may use this wording, but you don’t have to:

To MindCache LTD, [email protected]: I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: schedule-bit [plan name], ordered on [date], for the workspace [workspace name]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date: [date].

We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used.

This right doesn’t apply if you buy a plan for your business.

Failed payments

If a monthly payment fails, Stripe tries again for a while, and your plan carries on meanwhile. If the payment still can’t be collected, your workspace returns to the free Developer beta plan. We don’t charge a fee for a failed payment.

Contact

For a refund, a billing question or anything else, email [email protected] with your workspace name and, if you have it, the invoice or receipt number from Stripe. We answer as soon as we reasonably can.
